Interesting, bright young ruby red colour. The red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, accompanied by some vanilla and toasted nuts, stand out on the nose. The palate starts smooth and has good volume and balance leading to a nice long finish. This wine goes very well with semi-cured cheese with low acidity (goats cheese, Edam, smoked cheese, amongst others), stewed meats, pork ribs and loin and pastas with Bolognese or Alfredo sauce.
