This Carmenere grape variety is picked late giving the wine an intense, ripe fruit flavour of plums and berries which is complemented by partial ageing in French and American oak for twelve months. This wine will age well. Excellent with cheese, pastas and most meat dishes...perfecto!

How better to learn of this new wine, winner of the Catad'or Grand Hyatt Gold Medal, than to be guided by the winemakers daughter Pia Ravanal, petite, pretty daughter of Mario the winery owner who, while wrapped up in thermals and a duvet in the middle of the English summer, gave us a personal history of this top drawer family winery with 150 hectares of grapes and 100% own productivity.
