Gentlemen, this one is for you. Deep rich red/violet and smooth. Tabali Special Reserve Shiraz is to die for. I’m swishing a glass around in mid-summer and its bringing back memories of a warm cosy wood fire in a mid winter frost. A divine aroma followed by a smooth and rich roll-around-the-mouth that warmed me all the way to the toes. This is not premiership football; it’s a cosy fireside chat in my favourite room, relishing the thought of a good Cuban cigar. Tonight the world is at peace as I sip Tabali. Vina Tabali is the most northerly premium winery in Chile. The vineyards lay on the edge of the Enchanted Valley, a mystical place. In this Shiraz you will find an attractive deep violet colour, and open, ripe fruit aromas. Time in French oak barrels adds toasted notes combining perfectly with rich berry fruit and white pepper flavours, giving the wine a smooth and generous finnish. Legend says that the valley is magical, and Vina Tabali wines capture this mysticism. Extra notes To the nose presents a mix of berries and white pepper. On the palate it is full-bodied and well structured; the tannins are very noticeable in harmony with the remainder of the components. It is round, complete, with a great finish.
